The association / Overview

 

ASPAPEL (Spanish Association of Pulp and Paper Manufacturers) is a nationwide professional organization that brings together companies in the pulp and paper sector. Associated member companies (about 50) account for over 90% of the sector’s total output.
 
The aim of the association is to help the sustainable and competitive development of our member companies and to promote the image of the sector, its companies and products.
 
ASPAPEL works on behalf of the sector representing it before the Government and other stakeholders, developing sector-wide strategies on priority issues for the industry, providing a forum for member companies, developing initiatives that improve the image of paper and paper-making companies and supporting their management in various fields.
 
Its priority action areas are: the environment, energy, forestry, recycling, industrial relations, occupational risk prevention and public communications.
 
The Association is governed by a General Assembly and a Management Board, with Committees and Working Groups in specific areas, and is structured on a professional basis.
