Department of Statistics
ASPAPEL has a Department devoted entirely to collecting and drawing up monthly statistics based on product types and which cover production figures, foreign trade per country and apparent consumption. The Department performs periodic systematisation, grouping and accumulation of the information it collects and distributes its findings to the associate companies. Annual Statistics Report
ASPAPEL publishes an Annual Statistics Report on the sector, which includes historical data and details of the most significant countries.

The report is structured into two parts. The first part covers the evolution of the most significant data concerning raw materials - wood and recovered paper - as well as the different grades of pulp and paper. Another chapter is devoted to the structure of the sector (industrial mills, workforce, productivity) and to foreign trade. The second part of the report offers an overview of the international situation in the sector, with data on the development of used paper collection and recycling and production, consumption and foreign trade figures for pulp and paper from the main industrial countries.
